Plenty of Verona runners repped their hometown alongside other families from around the state during Tri 4 School's annual Family Mud Run event Saturday, Sept. 14, at Hometown Community Park. Transforming the park into a multi-course race area complete with obstacles, inflatables and, of course, pits brimming with mud and chilly water was no easy feat – neither were the courses, but both kid and adult participants seemed more than willing to take on the challenge, whether they went all in on the 5k or opted for the 0.3-mile short course.
